RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Three people, including two teenagers, are facing charges after an occupied business and vehicle were hit by gunfire in Raleigh last month, police said Friday.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of Rock Quarry Road around 11:30 a.m. on June 8.
An investigation determined multiple suspects fired shots into a sweepstakes casino in the area and parked vehicles before fleeing the scene, according to Raleigh police
Police said the suspects in the incident were identified as 19-year-old Montrell Alexander Barton, 18-year-old Tyshawn Zahaire Woods, and 24-year-old Ronnie Ja’Good Rivers.
According to warrants filed by Raleigh police, the suspects are accused of opening fire right next to Rock Quarry Road in the 700 block of Merrywood Drive and shooting at a man in an attempt to kill him.
The warrants show three people were inside the sweepstakes casino when it was hit by gunfire. One of the parked vehicles struck also a had a person inside. Another vehicle belonged to a person in the sweepstakes casino.
Police said Barton, Woods, and Rivers are all charged with:
- Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
- Two counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property
- Two counts of injury to personal property
- Discharging a firearm in the city
According to court records, Woods was taken into custody on June 26. He is being held at the Wake County Detention Center under a $40,000 secured bond and is scheduled to make his next appearance in Wake County court on Aug. 27.

Barton was arrested in Rochester, N.Y., by the Rochester Police Department, according to Raleigh police. Records show he was transferred to the Wake County Detention Center on Thursday.
According to records, Barton was not given bond and is scheduled to make his first appearance in Wake County court on Friday afternoon.

The Raleigh Police Department thanked Rochester police for locating and apprehending Barton.
Documentation shows Rivers has also been taken into custody, according to Raleigh police.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Officers said they urge anyone with information to contact the Raleigh Police Department or submit an anonymous tip through the Crime Stoppers website.
