RAEFORD, N.C. (WNCN) — Three men were shot outside Raeford in the early morning hours of Friday, the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies were sent to the 300 block of Haire Road around 3:40 a.m. Friday in response to a call about a shooting. Once on scene, the sheriff’s office said they found a man who “had been shot multiple times.”
The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office said deputies also learned that two other men with gunshot wounds were driven in a private car to a local hospital for treatment. The conditions of the injured men were not reported as of Friday night.

Investigators said they believe “those involved are acquainted and the incident was not random.” The public is not under threat due to this shooting, deputies said.
The investigation into the triple shooting is ongoing, with members of the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division continuing to look into what led to the incident.
