DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A boy died after his bicycle collided head-on with a car Sunday afternoon, police said.

Durham officers said the crash happened around 12:43 p.m. at the intersection of Knightwood Drive and Bengel Drive.
According to police, a woman driving a 2020 Hyundai Palisade was traveling north on Knightwood Drive at the same time the juvenile turned onto the road from Bengel Drive.

Investigators said the boy and car collided moments later.
According to a Durham police news release, lifesaving measures were attempted. The boy was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
No charges have been filed as of Sunday night. The case remains under investigation.
