The first season of The Surge covered the ‘Canes as they made it into the Stanley Cup Playoffs — and then captured the title 20 years after their first Stanley Cup win.
As The Surge launches this year, the CBS 17 Sports team of Kevin Holden, Sara Holland, and Todd “Gibby” Gibson, reflects on the Stanley Cup summer and examines the ‘Canes training camp as it wraps up soon.

The Season 2 premiere of The Surge airs Thursday at 6:30 p.m. on CBS 17 Plus.
Regular weekly episodes will air Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. starting October 6.
