FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (WNCN) — A Missing Endangered Alert has been lifted after a 9-year-old boy did not make it home Friday in Fuquay-Varina.

According to the Fuquay-Varina Police Department, Malachi Missie Ganzail was last seen Friday night wearing a black and red t-shirt with matching shorts and clear Crocs. He is approximately 4’9″ tall and weighs 78 pounds.
Malachi was also previously seen riding a black mountain bicycle, according to police. Police reported that he was found safe Saturday morning.

“Malchi has been located, and is safe! We’d like to thank everyone who called and provided information on his whereabouts. We’d also like to thank our community partners who reached out and offered their professional services while we tried to locate Malachi,” police said on social media.
The Missing Endangered Alert from the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons was issued because police believed Malachi suffers from a cognitive impairment.
