RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The summer-like feel, thanks to higher humidity, continues to fuel chances for rain across central North Carolina. Rain and a few storms are possible tonight before a cold front finally drops humidity and rain chances, but not until the end of the week.

Rain chances will become more isolated Wednesday and Thursday ahead of a cold front set to arrive late Thursday.
It won’t immediately bring a chance to our weather, but during the day Friday the humidity will gradually drop and temperatures will eventually fall below normal as well. Friday should be rain-free with highs in the low 80s, while the weekend will only have highs in the 70s.

June will start with cooler-than-normal temperatures in the 70s before we climb back into the 80s by the middle of next week. Despite a few showers Monday, the rest of next week should stay rain-free for now.
