According to Habitat Greater Raleigh, the affordable housing nonprofit and 10 for-profit home builders have partnered with subcontractors and other industry leaders to build the six homes in the Hope Grove neighborhood, a 150-acre property on 1504 Creech Road. The six affordable homes will be the first in the neighborhood.
Habitat Greater Raleigh said the homes will be completed on June 5.
“During this time, six empty lots will go from having only foundations to hosting move-in ready homes,” the organization said in a statement.

The neighborhood will have more than 400 mixed-income units when finished, according to the organization.
“A Habitat home typically takes several months to build,” Habitat Greater Raleigh Vice President of Construction Brad McHugh said in a statement. “Through partnerships with local builders, subcontractors, and government officials, we’re able to dramatically accelerate that timeline while expanding our impact.
“The Home Builders Blitz shows what’s possible when the community comes together around the shared goal of creating affordable homeownership opportunities for local families,” he continued in his statement.
