The Black Mental Health Movement, in partnership with Shaw University, will host a men’s mental health experience on Thursday.

It will feature powerful panel discussions, interactive breakout sessions and so much more.

“It’s really important that we understand healing does not have to happen in private, and we don’t have to do it alone, but that communities can come together, have these conversations, educate one another, and we can actually enjoy a healing experience together,” said Black Mental Health Movement CEO and Founder Dr. Lashaunda Lucas.

CBS 17’s Greg Funderburg and Raleigh native & CBS’ Beyond the Gates actor Jaden Lucas Miller will be moderating the panel discussions.

The free event will take place at Shaw University’s Estey Hall on Thursday, with dinner starting at 5:45 p.m. and is open to the public. Licensed mental health professionals will receive 2 CE hours for attending.
