REIDSVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — Investigators have provided an update following the discovery of more human remains during an FBI dive at a Reidsville rock quarry on Monday.

Initially, Human remains were found in the water at the scene of a rock quarry on 7730 US 29 Business on April 8.
Reidsville police said they were following up on April’s findings on Monday and using the FBI’s dive team as a resource.
During Monday’s operation, investigators recovered “additional human remains” at the site. The remains are being sent to the medical examiner’s office in Raleigh for further analysis.

Investigators say they believe that the remains found on Monday and on April 8 belong to the same person. However, an identification has not been made and it could take up to six months to one year to make an identification.
Sheriff Sam Page said the remains appeared to have been in the water for some time in April.
The investigation is still ongoing. There is no further information available at this time.
