CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) — North Carolina baseball swept through the Chapel Hill Regional last weekend, escaping the fate that befell some of their fellow top national seeds, including overall No. 1 UCLA and overall No. 2 and Atlantic Coast Conference Champion Georgia Tech.
But the Tar Heels, seeded No. 5 overall, dominated their group and will now host the Southern California Trojans, who upset No. 12 overall seed Texas A&M in the College Station Regional.
UNC and USC will now play a best-of-three series in the Chapel Hill Super Regional. The winner will get a trip to Omaha and the 2026 College World Series.
