HENDERSON, N.C. (WNCN) — Newly released video shows two Vance County inmates escaping from jail Wednesday afternoon, the FBI said.

The video, provided by the FBI on Thursday, shows 33-year-old Michael Lewis Miles Jr. and 21-year-old LiShawn Knott running through a hallway of the Vance County Detention Center in Henderson. The pair appear alone and are wearing orange jumpsuits and while unrestrained.
The FBI released the video the day after the Vance County Sheriff’s Office said Miles and Knott escaped around 2 p.m.

Court records show Knott is facing charges connected to a shootout in a parking lot and being found with a stolen vehicle and drugs. Miles is facing charges in connection to a drug raid. Both have previous felony convictions.
Knott is described by the FBI as standing 5’11” and weighing about 160 pounds with black hair, brown eyes, and multiple face tattoos, including a cross on his forehead.
Miles is described by the FBI as standing 6’0″ and weighing about 180 pounds with black hair, brown eyes, and neck tattoo.

Both Knott and Miles are considered armed and dangerous, according to officials.
A $40,000 reward is being offered by officials for information that leads to Knott and Miles’ arrests.
Residents and business owners are asked by officials to lock their vehicles, close their garage doors, and lock up their sheds.
Officials are warning anyone who sees Knott and Miles to not approach them. If either inmate is spotted, call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 252-492-1925.
The FBI, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Vance County Sheriff’s Office, and Henderson Police Department are searching for Knott and Miles.
To assist in the search, according to the FBI, digital billboards advertising the $40,000 reward have been placed across the state.
