GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — Police in Goldsboro said that two men tried to rob a Dollar General store late Saturday morning.

The incident was reported just after 11:15 a.m. at the Dollar General at 2107 N. William St., according to a Goldsboro Police Department news release.
A store worker told police that two men — one with a gun — tried to rob the store, the news release said. There was no word about what foiled the robbery.
“The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau was notified and responded,” the news release said.
