One injured at Falls Lake after two jet skis crash in Wake County report; officials probe Sandling Beach mishap

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WNCN) — One person was injured, and authorities are investigating a reported collision involving two jet skis on Falls Lake on Saturday afternoon, officials said.

The incident was reported around 3 p.m. in the Sandling Beach area of Falls Lake State Recreation Area just east of Creedmoor Road, fire and rescue crews said.

Fire crews and Wake County EMS were sent to the scene north of the Creedmoor Road bridge after a reported crash of two jet skis, according to Northern Wake Fire Division Chief J. Silver.

Two boats were deployed by Northern Wake Fire, which soon found the jet skiers in the water, Silver said in an email.

One patient was treated by Wake County EMS, Northern Wake Fire said.

North Carolina Wildlife is investigating the cause of the incident, Silver said.
