The stabbing was reported around 9:15 p.m. in the 8200 block of Merriweather Circle in the Berkshire Downs West neighborhood, according to the Raleigh Police Department.
A stabbing victim was taken to a nearby hospital to treat serious injuries suffered in the assault, officers said.
A suspect, also a man, was taken into custody at the scene just off Perry Creek Road, police said.
Officers said there was no other threat from the stabbing and that it’s believed the pair know each other.
A weekend shooting was reported along the same street and block at 6:40 p.m. on March 21.
Officers responded to the community just east of U.S. 1 and found a man critically injured by at least one gunshot wound, a police news release said.
