RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A male pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning, according to Raleigh Police Department.

On Saturday June 13, 2026, at 3:09 am, Raleigh police said officers responded to a call for a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian in the 3300 block of Buffaloe Road at approximately 3:09 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found 32-year-old Detrick Arnold deceased in the road, police said.

According to Raleigh police, preliminary investigation indicates Arnold was struck by a large SUV that left the scene outbound on Buffaloe Road.

According to Raleigh police, It is unknown at this time if he was crossing or otherwise standing in the road.
