HOPE MILLS, N.C. (WNCN) — Two people were hospitalized after an early-morning shooting in Hope Mills on Tuesday, according to police.

Officers with the Hope Mills Police Department responded around 1:45 a.m. to the 2100 block of Yates Ranch Road following reports of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds to the back, police said.

Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital by EMS crews and are believed to be in stable condition, police said.
