RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash in north Raleigh early Thursday morning, police said.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers responded shortly before 3 a.m. to the intersection of Ebeneezer Church Road and Lease Lane following reports of a crash.
Police said the motorcyclist was the only person involved and was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The area near the 8500 block of Ebeneezer Church Road remained closed Thursday morning as crews worked to clear the scene.
