RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The Raleigh Police Department has released the 911 calls in the double shooting outside of the Wake County Courthouse last month that left two attorneys injured.

The shooting happened on May 22 after a court hearing involving a lawsuit filed by Gwendolyn White against the Town of Rolesville. White is accused of taking a gun out of her car and shooting attorneys Mary Harris and Jeffrey Whitley, who were representing the town, near the courthouse on the 300 block of Fayetteville Street.
In one call, a court security officer at a nearby federal building informs Raleigh police that they can see two people who appear to have been shot through a surveillance camera.
The security officer notes Wake County sheriff’s deputies are at the scene and have taken someone into custody, but asks for EMS to come quickly.
Another caller reports hearing gunshots near the courthouse, while just across the block on West Davie and South Salisbury Street. A loud noise resembling a gunshot can be heard at the start of the call.
The caller says that they aren’t sure if the noises were gunshots, but the 911 dispatcher informs them of a shooting being reported in the area.
When asked if they saw if they heard or saw anyone, the caller states they did not.

“I heard the shots and everybody dispersed, including myself,” the caller says.
The third caller informs the dispatcher that shots were fired at the courthouse and asks for Raleigh police and EMS to come to the scene; the dispatcher says they already received a call about the situation, and first responders are on the way. The third caller also states they have been advised that a person is in custody.
Both victims are expected to recover, according to officials.
White has been in custody without bond since her arrest the day of the shooting. She was indicted on two counts of murder on June 15, according to records.
During White’s first court appearance on May 26, Wake County District Court Judge Rashad A. Hauter ordered White to be committed to Central Regional Hospital in Butner for 60 days to determine her capacity to proceed.
