BROADWAY, N.C. (WNCN) — A Harnett County woman is facing a murder charge in the stabbing death of a neighbor woman in the Barbecue area on Saturday, deputies said.

The incident was reported as a stabbing just after 9 a.m. Saturday at a home at 230 Dunrovin Lane, south of Broadway and about a half-mile west of Western Harnett High School, according to a Harnett County Sheriff’s Office news release.
A woman was found at the home with “multiple” stab wounds, the news release said.
The victim, Victoria B. Young, 68, who is listed as owning the Dunrovin Lane home of the stabbing, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment but later died, according to Harnett County Maj. Gary C. McNeill and county property records.

Lisa Ann Acevedo, 47, with an address of 258 Dunrovin Lane, was taken into custody and charged with murder, according to an arrest warrant and the news release.

Harnett County property records indicate Young owns the home where Acevedo has a listed address.

After her arrest, Acevedo was held without bond in the Harnett County Jail, the sheriff’s office said.
She has a first court appearance planned for 9 a.m. Monday at the Harnett County Courthouse.
