HENDERSON, N.C. (WNCN) — Three central North Carolina agencies and the ATF arrested a Henderson felon Thursday during a raid that seized 850 doses of heroin, a rifle, and jewelry, officials said.

The raid in Vance County, southeast of Henderson, also discovered fentanyl pills and a powder filling machine, photos indicated and deputies said.
The bust is the second major case in two weeks in Vance County after deputies seized 31,000 heroin dosage units during two raids near Henderson.
After a “prolonged” investigation, authorities executed a search warrant Thursday at a home in the 300 block of Little Mill Road, according to a news release from the Vance County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect was convicted of a drug felony in 2018 in Vance County, according to an arrest warrant.

Deputies said the following items were seized in the raid:
- An Olympic Arms rifle
- 850 dosage units of heroin
- 84 grams of fentanyl M30 pills
- $5,100 in U.S currency
A photo from authorities also showed several pieces of jewelry that were seized, including a watch and a “Knows Best” pendant.
Deputies said “other drug manufacturing items” were seized. An object in a photo from authorities is a filling machine for powder and granular materials, and can be used to achieve precise dosing.
Ta’Shawn Ty’Quaill Baskerville, 28, of the home, was arrested and faces the following charges, deputies said:

- Trafficking heroin
- Trafficking fentanyl
- Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver heroin
- Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver fentanyl
- Manufacture Schedule I controlled substance
- Maintain dwelling place for a controlled substance
- Possession of firearm by convicted felon
- Possess marijuana up to one half ounce
Baskerville was held without bond in the Vance County Detention Center.
The operation included the Henderson Police Department, the Nash County Sheriff’s Office, the Vance County Sheriff’s Office, and ATF, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
