The summertime heat has been relentless and while a few days have stayed near-normal in the low 90s, the mid-90s are returning for the end of the week, paired with more storms.

A boundary nearby Friday will bring a few showers and storms in from the west by late afternoon and early evening, but we’re not expecting Friday to be a washout or bring severe weather.
This weekend rain chances will increase as another cold front approaches. Saturday looks to bring the best opportunity for showers and thunderstorms.
It won’t be a washout or widespread rain event, but there will be more coverage of rain and thunderstorms compared to what we’ve been experiencing every day this week. Isolated heavy rain is possible.
The front will actually move through during the day Sunday, bringing one more chance for scattered showers before ushering in a brief break from the high heat and humidity. Monday and Tuesday should feature slightly cooler temperatures, lower humidity, and much more comfortable conditions before extreme heat returns by the end of next week.
