DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A man was shot near an apartment complex in Durham over the weekend, police said.

According to the Durham Police Department, officers responded on Sunday just after 9:30 p.m. to a report of shots fired in the 4200 block of Lake Cook Drive near the Avon Crossings Apartments on Kent Lake Drive.
When officers arrived, according to Durham police, they found a man who had been shot.

The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Durham police.
Police said the investigation into the shooting remains ongoing and there is no additional information available. No arrests or suspects have been announced as of Monday morning.
