The extent of the injuries is unclear, along with when they occurred, though both the U.S and Jordan have reported no fatalities.

CBS News also reported that Jordan said it shot down 10 Iranian missiles by early Sunday morning with no casualties or damage.

The Pentagon did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill.

The Iranian military this week stepped up drone and missile attacks on U.S.-allied nations in the Persian Gulf after Washington for several straight days launched waves of strikes on Iranian targets.

On the seventh night of attacks against Iran, the U.S. military said it hit surveillance sites, military logistics infrastructure, underground weapons storage, and maritime capabilities.

In the attacks, Centcom officials said the U.S. used fighter aircraft, aerial drones, and warships in addition to other assets.

Separately, the U.S. military’s death toll during the war against Iran has officially climbed to 14 following the death of a Navy pilot in a crash earlier this month over the Arabian Sea.

Additionally, more than 400 service members have been wounded since the beginning of the conflict.

A tenuous ceasefire between the two nations agreed to last month is all but on the rocks after peace negotiations faltered and the U.S. accused Iran of attacking merchant vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

The U.S. response was several days of attacks against various Iranian targets.

Iran, in turn, has fired back against Gulf allies including Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, with Mohsen Rezaei, a military adviser to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, warning Washington of a “full-scale offensive” in the coming days if the Trump administration continues its missile barrage.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps also claimed it shot at a U.S. base in Syria, though American service members withdrew from the base earlier this year.

And a wave of Iranian missiles and drones also injured “a number of” Kuwaiti military personnel on Friday, the country’s army said.

President Trump has brushed off any criticisms that the war isn’t going smoothly, saying Thursday night that the U.S. is “winning” big in Iran and that the American public will see the “fruits of that labor very, very shortly.”
