Sunday starts dry and muggy before afternoon and evening showers and storms begin to bubble up.

The coverage is expected to be higher than it was on Saturday. Another round of scattered showers and gusty storms fires up on Monday. This will help hold highs in the lower 90s instead of upper 90s.

There will be a brief break in the severe weather threat before another chance arrives Wednesday with a cold front. With so much moisture in the air, any downpours could produce a good amount of rain in a short amount of time, leading to some localized flooding.

Behind the cold front we’ll dry out and actually cool down a bit. Thursday and Friday will feature a lot of sunshine. Highs will only climb into the upper 80s with lower humidity, too.

But it can’t last forever in July. By the weekend and early the next week humidity and highs in the lower 90s come back, with a few showers and storms again.
