We’re saying goodbye to the 70s on Sunday with the 90s returning next week to central North Carolina. This is thanks to more sunshine and lower rain chances than we had to end the week and start the weekend.

Temperatures in the upper 60s Sunday morning will climb into the middle to upper 80s Sunday afternoon, with 90 on Monday and temperatures staying warm until a cold front arrives late Tuesday into the overnight hours.
There’s a slight risk of severe weather as the front passes by, with a temporary dip in humidity and temperatures before we warm up again as August arrives on Saturday.
Most days on the 10-day forecast have small rain chances with temperatures warm, but typical for this time of the summer. Thankfully, no highs in the middle to upper 90s are expected anytime soon.
