2026 ACC Baseball Championship tournament starts Tuesday; See schedule here

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WNCN) — The 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Championship tournament starts Tuesday morning, and two Triangle teams will kick off the schedule.

This year, the tournament is being played at Truist Field, home of the Charlotte Knights. It begins Tuesday morning, with the championship game starting at noon on Sunday.

NC State, the No. 9 seed, and Duke, the No. 16 seed, are scheduled to play in the opening game Tuesday. First pitch is set for 9 a.m. Heath Andrews will be the starting pitcher for the Wolfpack, while Peter Lemke will take the mound for the Blue Devils.

The third Triangle ACC team, on the other hand, will not have to play until the quarterfinal round on Friday. UNC earned a double-bye as the No. 2 seed in the tournament. The Tar Heels will face the winner of Wednesday’s game between Virginia Tech and the winner of Notre Dame/Clemson.

First round — Tuesday, May 19

9 a.m. — No. 9 NC State vs. No 16 Duke

1 p.m. — No. 12 Stanford vs. No. 13 California

5 p.m. — No. 10 Notre Dame vs. No. 15 Clemson

9 p.m. — No. 11 Louisville vs. No. 14 Pitt

Second round — Wednesday, May 20

9 a.m. — No. 8 Virginia vs. winner of NC State/Duke

1 p.m. — No. 5 Miami vs. winner of Stanford/California

5 p.m. — No. 7 Virginia Tech vs. winner of Notre Dame/Clemson

9 p.m. — No. 6 Wake Forest vs. winner of Louisville/Pitt

Quarterfinals — Thursday, May 21

3 p.m. — No. 1 Georgia Tech vs. winner of Virginia game

7 p.m. — No. 4 Boston College vs. winner of Miami game

Quarterfinals — Friday, May 22

3 p.m. — No. 2 North Carolina vs. winner of Virginia Tech game

7 p.m. — No. 3 Florida State vs. winner of Wake Forest game
