GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — Police in Goldsboro said Sunday that a 17-year-old is facing murder charges after two young men were shot and killed late Saturday afternoon.

The incident was reported as a double shooting around 5:15 p.m. at 607 West Oak St., according to a Goldsboro Police Department news release.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found two victims suffering from apparent gunshots wounds, police said. EMS crews said the pair died at the scene.
The 20-year-old victims were identified as Nasire Green of Goldsboro and Tristen Mason of Dudley, according to police.

“During the course of the investigation, a suspect was developed and taken into custody without incident,” the news relesae said.

The suspect, a 17-year-old boy from Goldsboro, was charged with two counts of murder and two counts of felony conspiracy, police said.
The teen was served with the warrants and is being held without bond in the Pitt Juvenile Detention Center, the release said.

Police added that the investigation is still continuing.
