RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Central North Carolina residents were able to catch sight of the SpaceX rocket launch early Tuesday morning.

According to SpaceX, the Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida just after 5:33 a.m. The rocket had 29 Starlink satellites, which were brought into low-Earth orbit.
The launch could be seen by residents across central North Carolina, including in Wake and Wayne counties.

According to SpaceX, the launch was for the first stage booster of the mission. The first stage landed on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship in the Atlantic Ocean after it separated.
