RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Another heat advisory was issued for central North Carolina on Wednesday when forecasters predict heat index values up to 107 degrees, the National Weather Service in Raleigh said.

The advisory includes all of the Raleigh-Durham region except for three northwest counties along the Virginia border, according to the weather service.
The CBS 17 Storm Team said the actual high temperature will hover near 100 degrees with high humidity throughout the Raleigh-Durham region.
“Dangerous heat continues today!” the National Weather Service said in the advisory.
The heat advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will likely continue Thursday and Friday over the same time periods when the predicted high is 100 degrees, forecasters said.
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” the National Weather Service in Raleigh said in the advisory.

Johnston County Public Schools decided to cancel all Wednesday outdoor middle school events, including games and practices, according to a Riverwood Middle School notice. Some practices will move indoors.
One county in central North Carolina, Northampton, is in an area that could see heat index values tick up to 108 degrees, the weather service said.
There is only a 10 percent chance of rain Wednesday, meaning there will be little relief from precipitation.
“Drink plenty of water and limit outdoor activity!” the weather service said Wednesday.
