Central North Carolina is set for another beautiful summer day on Friday after a refreshingly cool start to the morning. Temperatures will begin in the low to mid-60s before warming into the mid to upper 80s by the afternoon.

Even with plenty of sunshine, highs will remain a few degrees below average for late July, making for a comfortable end to the month. Expect mostly sunny skies and dry conditions throughout the day.
The weather stays quiet on Saturday as a warm front lifts north through the region. While a few more clouds will develop, the day should remain dry for most locations.
Temperatures will once again reach the mid to upper 80s, but increasing humidity will make it feel noticeably warmer than Friday as dew points begin to climb.
The pattern turns more active on Sunday as a weak upper-level disturbance moves in from the west. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop during the afternoon and evening, with rain chances continuing into Monday as a frontal boundary stalls across the region.
Monday currently looks to have the best chance for more widespread showers and thunderstorms, although it will not be a washout. Periods of dry weather are still expected between rounds of rain.
Daily chances for scattered showers and storms will continue through the middle of next week, but coverage should become more isolated after Monday. Temperatures will also trend upward, with afternoon highs hovering near 90 degrees and overnight lows in the lower 70s, right around average for early August.
