A cold front will move through the Raleigh area Monday, bringing a noticeable change in the weather.

Winds will turn northeasterly behind the front, allowing cooler and less humid air to move into central North Carolina. Highs will drop into the 80s, with temperatures and humidity becoming much more comfortable compared to the heat we’ve experienced recently.
Tuesday and Wednesday should feature mostly dry and seasonable weather across Raleigh, with highs generally in the low to mid-80s and cooler mornings. Rain chances will remain low through much of the week as the cooler, drier air stays in place.
The forecast becomes more uncertain heading into next weekend. Another front will approach the area late in the week and could interact with increasing moisture moving north from the tropics. This could lead to more clouds and a better chance for showers, while also keeping temperatures cooler than normal.
The 80s return Monday and could stick around for much of next week, with even cooler temperatures possible by next weekend.

MONDAY will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny. The high will be 91. Winds out of the south, shifting to the north, at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

OVERNIGHT will be mostly clear and cooler. The low will be 63. Winds out of the northeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
TUESDAY will be mostly sunny and pleasant. The high will be 83. Winds out of the northeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
