RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A former high school student in Raleigh pleaded guilty Monday to bringing a gun to campus earlier this year, court records show.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, 18-year-old Malcolm Lamonte McIntyre was found with a loaded gun at Millbrook Magnet High School around 11:15 a.m. on Feb. 25. The incident forced the school to go into a lockdown; no one was injured.
McIntyre, a senior and member of the football team at the time, was arrested at the scene. Due to his age, he was charged as an adult with the felony offense of having a gun on educational property, in addition to the misdemeanor offenses of carrying a concealed gun, resisting a public officer, and disorderly conduct at at school, according to Raleigh police.
Records show McIntyre pleaded guilty on Monday in Wake County court to having a gun on educational property.

In exchange for the guilty plea, according to court records, the misdemeanor charges against McIntyre were voluntarily dismissed.

McIntyre faces a maximum sentence of two years in prison. A sentencing date has not been scheduled as of Tuesday, according to court records.
Court records show McIntyre graduated high school.
As an interim condition of his guilty plea, according to court records, McIntyre is allowed to live in Minnesota if he is enrolled at a college and completes 100 hours of community service within 250 days at a nonprofit.
