RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The American Heart Association is gearing up for one of its most significant annual events, the 2026 Triangle Heart Walk, set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh.

Kicking off the day’s activities at 8:00 a.m., the Heart Walk will officially commence at 9:30 a.m. Participants will have the option to choose between a 1-mile or 3-mile walk route, making it accessible for all ages and fitness levels.
In addition to the walk, attendees can enjoy various activities in the Kids Zone and engage in interactive family-friendly experiences.

One highlight of this year’s event is the opportunity to learn Hands-Only CPR, a crucial lifesaving skill. Demonstration and practice stations will be available, encouraging participants to empower themselves and their loved ones to act confidently during a cardiac emergency.

With nearly 90% of people experiencing cardiac arrest outside of a hospital not surviving, the importance of knowing how to perform CPR cannot be overstated.
