CREEDMOOR, N.C. (WNCN) — A Granville County woman was getting a pedicure over the weekend when she found out she won the jackpot in a North Carolina lottery game, officials say.

Jurea Bristow of Creedmoor told lottery officials she decided last Saturday to check if she won the Cash 5, according to a North Carolina Education Lottery news release.
Bristow purchased a $1 ticket online the day before — and she thought during a pedicure on September 19 that she might have won.
“My right hand started itching and I thought, ‘I’m going to get some money,’” Bristow told lottery workers Thursday.

She checked her phone and found out she won the $146,094 jackpot, officials said.

“I really won!” Bristow said about her discovery using the NC Lottery app.
Bristow’s random pick matched all five white balls, beating the odds of 962,598 to 1, according to the news release.
She told officials that she plans to save her winnings.
Bristow claimed her prize at the lottery headquarters in Raleigh on Thursday. After state and federal taxes, she took home $105,203.
After Bristow’s win, the Cash 5 jackpot resent and as of Friday features a $130,000 jackpot.
