It won’t be nearly as comfortable Wednesday afternoon as it was on Tuesday. Highs will be similar in the middle to upper 80s, but an increase in humidity will make it feel like the lower 90s. That will introduce the chance for a very isolated downpour during the afternoon.

Rain chances go up on Thursday as a cold front approaches from the west. Hopefully there will be enough breaks in the rain and clouds Thursday night into very early Friday to be able to see a partial lunar eclipse, peaking with a red color at 12:12 a.m.
The best rain chance of the week will come on Friday with the passage of the front. It could also lead to flooding concerns in places that see several rounds of showers and storms.
Our pattern begins to turn drier and hotter into the new month of September. High pressure will ridge in, keeping temperatures in the lower 90s with limited rain chances next week.
In the tropics, there are two areas of disturbance. But our attention is mainly on the one coming off Africa. That disturbed area of weather has a 70% chance of tropical formation over the next two to seven days. If it does form, it will receive the name Dolly.
Ensembles have the track taking it to the west and northwest. There will be shear working against the system, but we’ll keep a close eye on it in the days to come.
