With that being said, the weather will stay quiet Saturday. Saturday will see more clouds, temperatures will be near 90 and humidity will get higher as a warm front lifts north through North Carolina. Despite the clouds and higher humidity, we will stay rain-free.
Our weather becomes a little more active Sunday as a cold front approaches our area and then stalls out. While this will bring a few showers and storms, we’re not expecting a washout. A few of those storms during the afternoon and evening could bring damaging wind gusts as a marginal, level 1 risk for severe weather is in place across the area.
Monday currently looks to have the best chance for more widespread showers and thunderstorms as the cold front stays nearby. While Monday has the best chance for rain, no day is expected to be a washout.
Daily chances for scattered showers and storms will continue through the middle of next week, but coverage should become more isolated after Monday. Temperatures will also trend upward, with afternoon highs hovering near 90 degrees and overnight lows in the lower 70s, right around average for early August.

SUNDAY will be mostly cloudy with spotty showers and storms. The high will be 86. Winds will be out of the south at 10 miles per hour.
