GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A High Point man was charged on Friday in connection to a road rage incident last week in Greensboro, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release.

Christopher John Walters, 48, of High Point, was charged with misdemeanor communicating threats, linked to a July 31 incident, police said.
On that Friday, Walters appears to have told a Greensboro woman that “she could die” and that he “will kill her,” according to a warrant.
The woman was driving on Interstate-85 at the time and contacted Guilford Metro 911 to report the incident. The Greensboro Police Department has her report on file.

A detective with the police department’s Crimes Against Persons squad met the complainant at the High Point jail as she sought a warrant against Walters, who was jailed on an unrelated charge.
Walters was arrested Thursday on a charge of assault of a female in the unrelated case.
In that case, a warrant said that a High Point woman told police that the day after the I-85 incident, the suspect pushed her into a dresser, bruising her arm.
