HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — A High Point murder suspect was arrested early Saturday morning in Chesterfield County, Virginia, officials said.

Antolvio Ayuso, 45, of High Point, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and will be extradited to North Carolina.
The case began around 5:05 p.m. on Friday, when officers responded to an unknown trouble call in the 1200 block of Carter Street in High Point.

When officers arrived, they found 70-year-old William R. Dockery of High Point unconscious in the backyard, suffering from traumatic injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The High Point Police Department said Ayuso and Dockery knew each other.
Police added that they believed the case was an isolated incident, and there was no evidence of an ongoing threat to the community.

Detectives with the department’s Violent Crimes Unit continue to investigate.
This is the eighth criminal homicide in the City of High Point this year.
