RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Several Raleigh police officers swarmed the parking lot of a Walmart Supercenter along New Bern Avenue early Wednesday afternoon after gunshots were fired out of a car, police said.
The incident was reported starting around 12:20 p.m. east of Interstate 440 in the 4500 block of New Bern Avenue near Wingstop near North New Hope Road, according to the Raleigh Police Department.
No one was injured by gunshots that were fired into the Wingstop at 4531 New Bern Ave., according to police.
Several Raleigh police cruisers responded to the parking lot of the Wingstop, which is in front of the Walmart Supercenter. Some businesses were evacuated after the gunfire.

There was no word about any roads closed in the area but the Wingstop was closed after it was evacuated.
Photos were shared with CBS 17 that showed damage from at least two gunshots to glass windows surrounding the Wingstop.
