Jessica Hinton of Raleigh was one of three big central North Carolina winners in the last few days — with three winners nabbing more than $1.5 million, the North Carolina Education Lottery reports.
Ronald Baggett of Four Oaks tried his luck on a $3 Powerball ticket he bought at Speedway on North Brightleaf Boulevard in Smithfield on Saturday and won a $200,000 prize.
And someone who bought a Powerball ticket in Warren County on Saturday won $1 million after the lucky $2 ticket purchase from Tobacco Plus on East Macon Street in Warrenton.
Hinton, who played the Magic Winnings Vegas digital game on Friday, said she started shaking when she saw she hit the jackpot, according to a lottery news release.
“I didn’t sleep at all after that,” Hinton said while laughing. “I was stunned,” Hinton told lottery officials. “I was like a kid waking up on Christmas.”

“That’s my favorite game to play,” Hinton said.
Hinton plans to use her winnings to buy a house, a car, invest, and help the homeless.
