Teenager shot on Poole Road, Raleigh police say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A teenager is in the hospital Thursday evening after shots rang out along Poole Road in Raleigh.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers responded to the 3000 block of Poole Road Thursday evening to a report of shots being fired. When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old who had been shot in the foot.

The teenager was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Police said that about four shots were fired at the teenager during the shooting, with two of them striking the buildings in the area.

No suspect is in custody at this time, according to police. A canvass of the area is underway, with police looking to turn up any additional evidence in the case, including video of the incident.
