WENDELL, N.C. (WNCN) — A Wake County Sheriff’s Office deputy was involved in a vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in eastern Wake County.

The crash was reported around 4 p.m. along Lizard Lick Road at U.S. 264, exit 432, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
The wreck appeared to involve a Wake County Sheriff’s Office cruiser and another vehicle about two miles north of Wendell.
A damaged sheriff’s office cruiser was visible on the Lizard Lick Road bridge over U.S. 264, according to NCDOT traffic cameras. A stopped car with some damage was seen on the NCDOT camera just off the bridge at an intersection nearby.

The deputy’s cruiser appeared to have front-end damage.
There’s no word about injuries in the crash, although at least one ambulance was at the scene.
