RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Fans hoping to purchase Carolina Hurricanes season tickets for the 2026-27 campaign will have to look elsewhere.

The Hurricanes announced Wednesday that all full-season, half-season and quarter-season ticket plans for the upcoming year have officially sold out following their seat selection process.
The team has reserved a limited number of seats for individual games, with those tickets scheduled to go on sale Aug. 20.
Carolina enters the season as the defending Stanley Cup champion after capturing its second title in franchise history last season. The Hurricanes defeated the Vegas Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Final and will open their title defense on Sept. 29 against the Florida Panthers at the Lenovo Center.
The opener will feature two of the NHL’s most recent Stanley Cup champions. Florida won back-to-back titles in 2024 and 2025 before missing the playoffs last season.
The Hurricanes’ ticket demand has continued to surge in recent years. The franchise has sold out 168 consecutive regular-season and playoff home games dating to Feb. 24, 2023.
Carolina’s last home game without a sellout came on Feb. 21, 2023, when 18,142 fans saw the Hurricanes beat the St. Louis Blues. That game followed the team’s NHL Stadium Series matchup at Carter-Finley Stadium, which drew 56,961 attendees.
Much of the roster that posted a dominant 16-3 postseason record returns this season, positioning Carolina to make another run at the Stanley Cup.
General manager Eric Tulsky said after the 2026 NHL Draft that winning a championship has not changed the organization’s long-term expectations.
“Our goal is to build a team that even when we’re not playing our best, even when we have some injuries, we still can win the Cup,” Tulsky said. “We need to keep taking steps to get to where we can be favorites year in and year out, no matter what comes our way.”
The Hurricanes will also be chasing more history. Carolina is looking to become the NHL’s first repeat Stanley Cup champion since the Panthers won consecutive titles in 2024 and 2025.
The 2026-27 season will also mark the NHL’s first 84-game regular season since 1993-94, with each team playing two additional games as part of a league-wide schedule totaling a record 1,344 contests.
