RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Thousands of Caniacs filled the Lenovo Center parking lot Thursday with white rally towels in hand to cheer on their team.

“I have full confidence in the Canes, I know we’re going to win the series,” said Michael Jones.
Fans remain confident despite a nailbiter game Tuesday when the Las Vegas Golden Knights took home the win.
Prior to the game, the Lenovo Center parking lot was full of fans tailgating. The spirit ranged from sounding many hockey sirens, playing games and admiring homemade trophy sculptures.
Some Caniacs say the friendships made at the tailgate are what they love the most.

“I’ve been having a blast everybody is super excited this is a 20 year moment,” Caniac Sammi Leggott said.

Some fans say they remember winning the cup in 2006 and are ready to bring it home again.
“Its been a long time coming, we have all been ready for this and waiting for this and we are finally here,” Jones said.
