RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Carolina Hurricanes fans now know exactly where the team’s Stanley Cup championship parade will travel through downtown Raleigh.

The Hurricanes have announced the route for Saturday’s victory parade, which will celebrate the franchise’s second Stanley Cup championship and first title since 2006.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, and will follow a route through the heart of downtown Raleigh.
According to the team, the parade route will:
- Begin at Hillsborough Street and St. Mary’s Street
- Travel east on Hillsborough Street toward the North Carolina State Capitol
- Turn right onto Salisbury Street
- Turn left onto Morgan Street
- Turn right onto Fayetteville Street
- End at Davie Street
Raleigh Mayor Janet Cowell also announced Monday that she has officially declared Saturday, June 20, as “Carolina Hurricanes Day” in conjunction with the team’s championship celebration.
In an official proclamation, Cowell praised the Hurricanes’ run to their second Stanley Cup title and highlighted head coach Rod Brind’Amour’s full-circle journey from captaining Carolina’s 2006 championship team to leading the franchise to another championship from behind the bench two decades later.
The proclamation called the achievement “a source of civic pride and inspiration for residents throughout Raleigh and North Carolina” and said the championship demonstrates “the power of determination, teamwork and community spirit.”

Thousands of fans are expected to line the streets of downtown Raleigh to commemorate the Hurricanes after defeating the Vegas Golden Knights in six games to capture the Stanley Cup.

The title capped one of the most dominant playoff runs in franchise history. Carolina finished the postseason with a 16-3 record and closed the Stanley Cup Final by winning three consecutive games.
Saturday’s celebration is slated to be Raleigh’s first Stanley Cup championship parade in 20 years.
Additional information regarding road closures, parking and fan viewing areas is expected to be released ahead of the event.
