“These boys worked really hard. I went to every playoff game. I felt like I had to be here for the parade; no way I was going to miss it,” said Canes Fan Todd.
Kids are also ready for the parade.
“I’m feeling amazing, very exhilarated. I have followed the Canes personally since 2025,” said a fan.

Out-of-town fans said the traffic wasn’t on the roads.
“We went to the team store before checking into the hotel, and there was a line out the door,” said Campbell Southworth.
Many fans made plans earlier this week by booking hotel rooms in downtown or nearby to alleviate the traffic nightmare we could see on Saturday morning.
“I looked on Monday and booked it on Tuesday,” said a Canes fan.

The main reason for staying downtown?
“Because we knew we wouldn’t make it if we tried to come in in the morning,” said Canes Fan Neil.

“Something that’s probably needed to bring everybody together, knowing that it’s going to be an extremely large crowd,” said a Canes fan.

Speaking of the crowd, City leaders are expecting over 100,000 fans to make their way downtown. There is already a debate on their early wake-up calls.
“Oh goodness, I don’t know, probably sleep with one eye open, and just with the excitement and knowing so many people are going to be here, probably 5 or 6 in the morning,” said a Canes Fan.
