FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A Fayetteville mother was charged earlier this month in the traffic crash deaths of her three young children and cited for speeding, accused of driving at 111 mph along the road, according to an arrest warrant and Fayetteville police.

The crash happened June 3 at 10:50 p.m. along Cedar Creek Road/N.C. 53 near Fields Road, just west of Interstate 95, a Fayetteville Police Department news release said.
The wreck involved a single car, a white Kia, that left the road and crashed into a tree, killing two children at the scene, Fayetteville police said.
A third child was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said. The third injured child later died, according to an arrest warrant filed by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
All three children were under the age of 15.

Megan S. Scott, 30, was charged with three felony counts of involuntary manslaughter on June 10, the arrest warrant said.
The three children were identified in the arrest warrant as Ju’mari Thomas, Jack Thomas IV, and Jaecoda Thomas.
Scott was speeding at 111 mph in a 55 mph zone on Cedar Creek Road and did not have the children properly restrained in the car, troopers said in the warrant.

The same day as the deadly crash involving her children, Scott was accused of hitting two Fayetteville police officers with her car and trying to hit her boyfriend with her car, according to arrest warrants filed by the Fayetteville Police Department.
In the domestic violence incident in Fayetteville, Scott was accused of trying to use her car to run over her boyfriend, the warrant said. She was also accused of biting the same man on the right forearm, according to the warrant.
Scott was charged with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.

When a Fayetteville police officer tried to arrest Scott, she was accused of hitting the officer with her car, injuring his shoulder, the warrant said. Another Fayetteville police officer suffered a right arm injury when hit by the same car, the arrest warrant said.
Scott was charged with two counts of felony assault – physical injury of law enforcement officer, the warrants said.

Scott is being held without bond in the Cumberland County Jail.
