WILSON, N.C. (WNCN) — A homicide investigation is underway after a teenager was found shot to death in Wilson early Tuesday morning, police said.

According to the Wilson Police Department, officers responded just before 12:30 a.m. to a gunshot call in the 600 block of Spruce Street.
When the officers arrived, according to Wilson police, they discovered a 16-year-old dead inside the home.
Police said the incident is being investigated as a homicide.

The investigation remains ongoing. No arrests or suspects have been announced as of Tuesday morning.
