The National Weather Service in Raleigh issues a severe thunderstorm warning for the following counties:

- Southwest Randolph and Stanly County
The warning is set to expire at 4:30 p.m. and the following cities are expected to be impacted:

NWS Raleigh is warning of wind gusts of up to 70 mph and quarter size hail.
