The agencies spent Thursday focusing on speeders and aggressive driving in all areas of the county — including Fort Bragg — as part of Safe Driver Week, according to a Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Seven groups participated in the crackdown, with 482 total tickets issued. Tickets include speeding, reckless driving, no driver’s license, no insurance, seat belt violations, and failure to move over in a construction zone, along with several other types.

The agencies included the sheriff’s office, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, and police in Fayetteville, Fort Bragg, Hope Mills, Stedman, Spring Lake, and at Fayetteville State University, the news release said.
